Education Offerings at DC WRIISC

What Classes Are Offered?

Our goal is to make sure Veterans who have deployment related health concerns receive the most up to date information and education about their post-deployment health concerns. Currently, we are offering telehealth exposure classes that cover a variety of important deployment health topics. More information on these telehealth classes is listed here. Traditionally, we offer group classes that are led by a DC WRIISC nurse educator.
These classes cover a variety of topics including:

  • Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation New Dawn Military Exposure Concerns

  • Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm Military Exposure Concerns

  • Vietnam War and Agent Orange Military Exposure Concerns

Currently, these group classes are on hold pending the pandemic restrictions. We encourage Veterans to participate in our telehealth exposure classes to learn more about deployment environmental exposures.
