Education Services
Complex Exposure Threats Center of Excellence (CETCE)
CETCE partners with the War Related Illness and Injury Study Center (WRIISC) and the Health Outcomes Military Exposures (HOME) to educate VA and non-VA healthcare providers, Veterans, and Veteran families. Our education covers unique deployment health conditions and offers Veteran-centric clinical recommendations, effective risk communication, and up-to-date exposure information.
Webinars
As part of the WRIISC-HOME Webinar series, topics related to complex military environmental and occupational exposures are offered throughout the year. Please visit the WRIISC Live and On-Demand Education webpage for recorded and upcoming webinars.
Fellowships
In partnership with local and national academic institutions, CETCE pairs advanced trainees with DC WRIISC mentors and expertise in cognitive neuroscience, neuropsychology, occupational and environmental medicine, and exercise physiology through the DC WRIISC's VA Advanced Fellowship in Emerging Threats. This fellowship trains doctoral-level fellows on addressing the unique needs of current CETCE Veteran exposure cohorts. This two-year program is focused on providing fellows with interdisciplinary skills to identify, assess, research, and treat Veterans with health concerns related to emerging military exposures.
